Dr Kate Dunlop

Dr Dunlop is a medical graduate of the University of Sydney and was awarded a Master of Medicine by the University of Sydney for her research into the prevention and treatment of skin cancers with all- trans retinoic acid (vitamin A metabolites). She undertook her dermatology specialist training at The Prince of Wales Hostpital Randwick, St Vincent’s Hospital Darlinghurst and The Skin Hospital Darlinghurst  and became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. 

Dr Dunlop ran a specialist biologic clinic at The Skin Hospital  for 12 years and was concurrently  a visiting medical officer at St Vincent’s Private hospital. This work involved the treatment of patients with severe psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurative and chronic spontaneous urticaria with targeted medications authorised on the PBS. This clinic was also designed to train dermatology registrars in the use of Biologic medications. Dr Dunlop now sees patients with these conditions at Southderm as well as running general dermatology, skin cancer and laser clinics.
